You can maintain your own apartment, commute from home, or you can live at the Harrisburg International House, a fully furnished independent student living complex that is just around the corner. About 25 percent of our students live in these student apartments, which are ideal for those who enjoy the independence of college living but seek a more sophisticated and supportive environment.
With accommodations more reminiscent of apartments than traditional residence hall rooms, the International House provides a safe, warm and friendly environment promotes international understanding, provides the opportunity to explore and experience new lifestyles and viewpoints, preparing residents for success in the global economy.
To encourage interaction, the home-like atmosphere includes several lounge areas and two full kitchens are available for the residents' use. Community lounges offer TV with DVD/VCR player, games, books and magazines, area information brochures. The lounges provide the perfect setting for casual conversations or catching favorite television program. The study lounge has computers with 24-hour internet access and offers a quieter environment for studying or working.
