Corporate Faculty in Systems Integration Project Management Sought at Harrisburg University

Harrisburg University is seeking a Corporate Faculty member to teach the Spring 2012 Systems Integration Project Management in our Project Management Master's Degree Program. Candidates must show knowledge and experience with Systems Integration Projects and will be responsible for instructing students on the specific Project Management methodologies applied to projects such as; enterprise solution implementation, legacy system maintenance/replacement, and multi-site/platform deployment. Instruction must cover the complexities of multiple stakeholders, business processes, communication channels and testing environments. The instructor must also show competency in "Project Integration Management", as defined by PMI, as this knowledge area provides the Project Management foundation for the course. Harrisburg University is a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P.) of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and candidates must be a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by PMI. Candidates must also have obtained a masters level degree, preferably related to the field of Project Management or Information Technology.

Corporate Faculty in Computer Science Sought at Harrisburg University

Harrisburg University of Science and Technology seeks qualified, potential corporate faculty for the Computer and Information Science program to teach undergraduate-level courses in introductory Computer Programming starting in the Spring 2012 semester. The university is seeking highly qualified instructors with programming experience in OOP languages such as C#, Java, or C++ to teach at our Harrisburg location. A doctorate is preferred but individuals with a Masters or MBA with significant professional experience in the subject matter and an interest in teaching are encouraged to apply.

Our current needs are for our CISC 120 course, a 4 credit course intended for students with little or no knowledge in Computer Programming. Director, Food Science and Technology Center Sought at Harrisburg University

Due to rapid growth and progress, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is seeking a Director of the Harrisburg University Food Science and Technology Center. The Director is responsible for the management and oversight of the Food Science and Technology Center staff, projects, budget, and activities. Established in 2010, the mission of the Harrisburg University Food Science and Technology Center is to promote food science & technology research and education through the creation of academic programs and industry partnerships that increase the number of qualified food professionals and support economic development within Pennsylvania and the northeast region of the United States. The Center includes a Consumer Insights Research Laboratory, an undergraduate concentration in food safety and quality, a professional development training program, and supports a network of regional food industry companies. This administrative position is located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and reports directly to the Executive Vice President and Provost.

A doctorate in food science, biology, or related field is strongly preferred but individuals with a Master's degree, management experience and significant professional experience in the subject matter are encouraged to apply.

Corporate Faculty in Communications and Public Speaking Sought at Harrisburg University

HU seeks qualified, potential corporate faculty members with teaching experience in the area of public speaking. The university has an opportunity for undergraduate teaching during the Spring 2012 semester, which starts on January 9; we anticipate that the successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach at least two courses. The textbook for the course is established; the course is a requirement for all full-time undergraduates.

Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing and delivering education and/or training is required. A master's degree or higher in a related field is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work well with others is required; it will be necessary to coordinate with another faculty member to ensure that multiple sections of the course have equivalent requirements and expectations. A willingness to integrate technology into the classroom is essential.

Additionally, writing assignments are to be completed according to deadline with a goal of improving style, grammar, and diction.

There are current opportunities for courses that will be taught is spring, summer and fall 2010 at one of three locations (Harrisburg, Lancaster, York County). The potential for online teaching also exists.
