Nanobiotechnology and Food Technology Theme for 2010 Biotechnology Showcase

The Capital Area Biotechnology Partnership 2010 Biotechnology Showcase will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 26 at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. The theme for the free event is Nanotechnology and Food Technology.
The annual event brings together industry, educators as well as high school and college students. The free event features hands-on experiments, poster presentation, workshops, panel discussions, career fair, vendor exhibits and other presentations. With its program of lectures, expert discussions, presentations and networking opportunities, the Biotechnology Showcase has become a flagship event for students, educators, and industry.
The 2010 Biotechnology Showcase will take place at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s Academic Center, located at 326 Market Street. Teachers bringing groups of at least 20 students will be awarded a free laboratory kit and are eligible for a $100 travel stipend to attend the workshop as well.Space is limited. Educators should RSVP to cwonders@harrisburgu.edu by February 20, 2010. Deadline for poster abstract submission is February 28, 2010.
